Dennis was a sophomore in university when the World Wide Web was still a baby in the early 90’s. Fascinated by Internet technology, Dennis got excited to be part of that world. And now it is a world where even babies can make websites.
Through his university training, Dennis studied computer science and got exposed to multimedia and web development. He further developed his design skills while volunteering with the creative department of a local organization in Manila. While still a student, he was hired as a webmaster for a start-up online shopping company based in Chicago. Dennis later on took a job as a web designer for a web company catering to business travelers and hotels worldwide. This experience taught him how to work with a creative team and a larger company. He also completed freelance web design projects in partnership with web companies. In 2000, Dennis joined creative forces with a friend to set up a design firm catering to local and international clients. While the two old friends continue to partner on occasional projects, they have gone on to start their own respective creative studios.
Dennis moved to Canada and experienced the new immigrant life, where degrees and work experience seemed like a drop of water in the Sahara desert. He had to start from scratch working for Convergys, Wal-Mart, and Baker Hughes, dreaming of the day he’d be a web designer again. He finally landed a job as a web designer and developer for Trinus Technologies. CMS, PHP, MySQL, and Photoshop is Dennis’ world.
